We had a party and it was good.

[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] enjoyed herself, so we're already talking about having another summer party and perhaps an apple tasting party in the fall (with thirty different varieties of fresh picked, locally grown apples, and other apple goodness(*)). Because of the nature of the parking situation, it's difficult to plan a party when ground is covered with snow or muddy. But I might reinstitute the occasional sledding and hot chocolate party. And then there's my grand vision for a 07/07/07 party ("triple oh seven"?) next year.

I don't know who, but someone brought dried pineapple to the party. I've discovered that it's very addictive (I doubt it has anything to do with the fact that by weight they're half sugar).

And as always there were lots of interesting people and not enough time to talk to them.

Thanks to everyone who brought food
(I have to remember that when [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] RSVP's to a party, I should reduce my food purchases by half :) And thanks to everyone who just brought themselves.

Thanks to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] for showing up early and helping with setup.

Thanks to the folks who took it upon themselves to help wash dishes (eventually we'll have a party just to honor the installation of a dishwasher).

Many people appeared to appreciate [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s liquid lubrication.

And thanks to the weather gods for providing excellent weather (a number of people took great delight in hanging out on the deck and sitting in the sun).

(*) Perhaps someone else can provide apple gunkies.

Sorry I missed it--sounds like it was a blast! Not in the cards, so to speak, though I hope to make it to your next one:)

"Rhomboidal pellets of true fruit goodness, machined to exacting tolerances by skilled native craftsmen with pride in their work". The description is clear, techniques and materials are listed, but the proper color will be difficult without resort to FD&C number something or other.

I was think specifically of you when I added the reference to Apple Gunkies. :)

i am sorry i didn't make it up there. i had every intention of doing so, but i went home to change into dry clothes sunday evening and ended up dead asleep instead of out partying.

i'm glad you had an excellent time, and i'm hoping you'll have another one later this year.

You can often get dried pineapple with no added sugar. It's my default "on airplane" food.

We brought the dried pineapple; glad you enjoyed it. If possible I'll try to make your next party in the fall, though this time w/o Shoshana.
