There's a problem with the production meter for my solar panels. Someone from the monitoring company is supposed to come by today to swap out the defective electric meter (it's a fancy device with a built-in cellphone). He's supposed to get here some time after 11am, so I've been waiting for him.

Because of my early education, I can't avoid writing that I'm "Waiting for the Electrician, or Someone Like Him".

I didn't know about WMVY (aka MVY) until I read an article about WBUR buying WMVY's transmitter, which will soon leave the station as an Internet-only broadcaster. This got me curious, so I found their website and discovered they're having a pledge drive to raise $600,000 so they to continue broadcasting as an commercial-free, online radio station.

They play an eclectic mix of classic rock and some current music.

In 1956, CBS Radio Workshop produced a radio show called "A Pride of Carrots (or Venus Well Served)" about man's first landing on the planet Venus and accidentally getting in between a war between carrots and onions. It's a wonderful political satire.
