In July, two Swedes flew over Belarus dropping 800 teddy bears with parachutes and pro-democracy messages.

Since then two generals and the foreign minister have been fired and journalists and bloggers have been either fined or thrown in jail for publishing photos of the bears.

Perhaps after years of tight control, teddy bears might lead to change in Belarus under President Lukashenko, aka "The Last European Dictator".

Yow, what a mess. I was reading the story you linked to, to find out why the Swedes did that. Just curious as to why Swedes would bother getting involved with something like that...

If you look in the menu on the right, there are a bunch of Euronews articles about the teddy bear raid. One of the other articles mentioned Mathias Rust, but I picked the article that I thought had the most interesting video.
