I got woken up by a tom once. Totally unamused by his amorous displays to the local females-- he'd started his racket about an hour before my alarm went off.
I nearly ran over a flock of his squabbling brothers this morning on the way to work. There isn't enough predators around to keep their numbers down. (despite the whinging from the local puppy palace people about not letting any of our pets or small children play in the outdoors due to rampaging packs of coyotes!!!!) So they are starting to become a problem in suburbia. Not as bad as the deer overpopulation, but working on it.
