The town, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to save money by turning off street lights on streets with more than six lights. My street is one of them.
And Milford took a different tack when putting in street lights; the electric company charged a lot per light, so some streets have way fewer lights than others. Mine is one of those.
I live in a very rural area. I'm more likely to run into a deer or a turkey, than a mugger.
The lack of a street light is a problem for backing out of the driveway (difficult to see the stone wall across the street), or taking out the trash during a new moon.
At some point, I probably will add a light to the house that illuminates the driveway.
