Backyard Visitors

While talking on the phone with my father, I looked out the kitchen window and saw a few visitors in the backyard. As soon as I finished talking to him, I grabbed my camera and tiptoed outside.

The first time I met the feral turkeys of Needham, I was making a personal phone call from my car in a parking lot at Tech Target. And all of a sudden I was eye-to-eye with this huge and outlandish bird, separated only by the window glass. Later I got used to them but that first view scared the socks off me.

A couple of months ago, we couldn't leave the driveway because there was a turkey pecking at the car.

I'm sure the coyotes that come visit our yard will eventually find them.

I only get the camera out for the occasional deer.
