Frequently, when I prepare breakfast, I'll look out the kitchen window at the backyard.  Now that Spring is here, there are all sorts of interesting things to watch.

There are tons of birds at the bird feeder.  Unfortunately, I don't know what most of them are.  We have bluejays and cardinals, and some birds with greenish yellow bellies, and an assortment of brown colored birds.  Also seen at the bird feeder was a reddish brown critter with a light stripe on its back and tail.  It also had four feet and fur.  Definitely not a bird.  Apparently the local chipmunks have figured out how to climb the bird-feeder's pole.

Wandering around in the grass near the bird feeder there are birds that Ann have told me are morning doves.  Occasionally, I've seen a groundhog wandering around in the grass.  And once I saw a coyote in the backyard.  I've seen deer out the window, but not during breakfast.

Looking out the window is much more interesting than reading the morning paper.
