This is a picture of the shells of peas.

[livejournal.com profile] quietann's rats prefer the insides of peas, so they will very carefully remove the shells and discard them. Later on, if they're hungry, they'll eat the shells.

Without cheating this looks like pea shells. Kfir eats the insides only and leaves these a lot so they are very familiar.

Yay! I guessed pea shells.

We used to have rats, but I don't think we ever gave them peas. There is a funny story involving hazelnuts that I don't have time to type up right now...
