Truckin'

Since I bought my shiny new pickup truck at the end of December, I've:

  • Hooked up the trailer seven times to haul cars (only one car was mine)
  • Hauled furniture three times
  • Filled up the back with boxes and stuff from my parents' house, several times.
  • Hauled a bunch of engine parts for my father (three engines, three engine blocks, one gear box, two diffs, three crank shafts, ...).
  • Hauled two sheets of plywood (with the tail gate down, the bed is exactly 8' long).
  • Hauled animal feed (50 lb bags)
  • Hauled 30 gallons of aviation fuel (100LL)
  • ...

Heck, you've hauled more stuff in six months than most pickup-truck poseurs do in their lifetimes :)

I may actually hit you up for a favor at some point; I may need to haul something too tall for my van to handle...

A little over four months. But who's counting? :)

That might be difficult.  I have a cap on the back of the truck.  Nice for keeping things dry and inside the truck, but tough for hauling anything taller than 39".
