well, you could set up an IR floodlamp, and a motion capture webcam,
and see what you get. same for digicam, take interval shots every 30
seconds and have fun :) photo the birds and then go online or get a
bird book and learn them.

i know someone that did that webcam trick and found out they had moose
cavorting in their backyard at night.
